Funeral Services For Mrs. Huff Set For Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Crawford Huff, pioneer citizen, of Central Texas who died Friday, April 16, at 10:40 p.m., will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist church, Oenaville, with Rev. Mathis conducting. Burial will be in the Oenaville Cemetery with Pace in charge.
Mrs. Huff was born Emma Crawford Sept. 12, 1859 at Prairie Grove, Ark., and married William Arthur McKinzie at Prairie Grove on Aug. 29, 1881. They had one child, Walter Lee McKinzie, who proceeded his mother in death Jan. 2, 1940. She married John William Huff Sept. 15, 1887 at Oenaville.
Surviving are the following children: Henry Maloy Huff, Otis Warren Huff, Mrs. Otho Clark, Robert Fulton Huff, and one stepson and one stepdaughter, Walter Huff and Mrs. Lena Cook. Four stepchildren proceeded her in death. Also surviving are 33 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Elmer Lewellen, W.C. Collier, Babe Lancaster, Tom Whitlow, Louis Moore, and T.R. Buckellew. The body will be at the E.O. Clark home in Oenaville until funeral time.

On the 1900 census John and Emma are listed as having been married for 19 years and that she has had 11 children with nine still living. Arnold, Alice, Walter and Lena are all listed as their mother being born in TN., Henry, Lula, Grover, Herman, Otis, Modine Huff and Walter McKinzie are all listed as their mother being born in Ark. (that's 7 children for Emma, two more unaccounted for). Alice being the youngest child with mother listed being born in TN, is 15 years old. On the 1910 census it reads that she has what looks like either 12 or 16 children with 8 still living.
