Alvin Swanson
Alvin A. Swanson, 62, a life-long resident of Hoquiam, died Monday morning in a local hospital.
He was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Hoquiam and attended schools there. He had owned his own construction business and worked as a cement mason. He retired in 1965 because of illness.
He was a 32 year member of the Hoquiam Eagles.
Survivors include, his wife, Loney A. Swanson of Hoquiam; three daughters, Joan Kost of Hoquiam and Louise Jones and Delores McGarrah, both of Aberdeen; a son, Walter T. Swanson of Aberdeen; two sisters, Edna Keil of Hoquiam and Vera Andersen of Aberdeen; a brother Walter Swanson of Copalis Crossing; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m.
