Oscar M. Pitcox Dies in Brady
Oscar Means Pitcox, 78, died at 11 p.m. Saturday at his home in Brady.
He was born March 18, 1878, in Lamar County and was married Sept. 16, 1900.
Survivors are his wife; three sons, Lester of San Angelo, Henry and Edward Pitcox, both of Brady; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Simmons, Mrs. Cordie Webb, and Mrs. Maudie White, all of San Angelo and Mrs. Blanche Romo of Phoenix, Ariz; a sister, Mrs. Dollie Bunch of Pampa and a half sister, Mrs. Beulah Bailey of Brady; 40 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The Rev. C.H. Clark conducted the funeral at 3 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clovis Windham, Milton Henderson, J. V. Friar, Pete Morris, Ray Roberts and Walter White.
