[12] John W. Crane is listed on the 1872 Hart County Tax list with no land and 1 kid between age 6 & 20; 1873-1875, no land and no kids. There isn't any records found of 1876-1878 tax lists. He is not listed on the May 1879 tax list.
[22] Death Certificate states he was 82 years two months and 19 days old and that he was born Nov. 15, 1853. It states that his parents were AP Crain born in Ireland and Millie Amouse, not know where she was born. Of course AP being born in Ireland, is incorrect. His son Elzie Crain of Center, Ky., was informant.
[24] According to his death certificate at the time of his death in Center, Metcalfe Co., Ky., he was a resident of Munfordville, Hart Co., Ky.
[3848] According to the 1900 Census they had been married for 27 years and that they had 11 children but only 6 were living. Another unknown researcher has listed three additional children for John and Susan. George W. born about 1868, Albert H. born about 1871 and Eliah born about 1873. (which would total 11 children for them, but I do not know where that information came from, he is listed in his father's household 1870 and not married)
