Dates and where living at that time were taken from his military records. At the time of his enlistment, 1862, he was described as 6 foot, 4 inches tall, dark complexion, dark hair and eyes and was a farmer.
He lived in Randolph, Metcalfe County, KY. in 1876. He is listed on the 1873-1875 Metcalfe County, KY., tax lists. He was living in Horse Cave, Hart County, KY., in 1912 and 1915.
In the 1880 Barren County, Kentucky census he had a black servant, named Kate Parrish age 23 and her two daughters, Betty A. age 4 and Amelia age 1, living in his household.
He and his family are listed in the Rootsweb index as Dickerson on the 1910 census. The census is hard to read there is a "granddaughter" listed in his household, age 9, looks like name begins with the letter "S", but not positive (2005).
