The Texas Spur, October 23, 1986
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 16, for Junior Ross Hagins, 61, of Post. Services were held in the First Baptist Church, Spur, with Rev. Steve McMeans, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Post, officiating.
Hagins died October 14 about 20 miles east of Dickens of an apparent heart attack. Born in Lamesa on January 13, 1925, he had resided in Post since 1951. He was retired from the Soil Conservation Service where he was employed for 33 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Baptist Church.
He married the former Louise Shaw on July 9, 1949 in Dickens.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Hagins, Post; one daughter, Danella Souter, Alpine; four sisters, Rosalee Taylor, Spur; Joycie Parker, Lubbock; Dollie Blair, El Paso; Jo Ann McWhorter, Kingsland; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers were the deacons of the First Baptist Church, Post.
Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
