Hardin County man dies in fire at home.
A 57-year-old Hardin county man was fatally injured in a fire at his home yesterday morning according to Hardin County Coroner Dr. James Stuteville.
Clayton Crain, of Sonora Rt. 1, was pronounced dead about 3:40 a.m. Five other persons in the house escaped injury. The house was destroyed.
Crain was a retired farmer and a native of Hart County.
He is survived by four brothers Chester Crain, of Cocal, Fla., Charles Crain, of Lawrence, and James and Howard Crain, three sisters, Mrs. Marie Richardson, of New Albany, Ind., Mrs. Margaret Bosie, and Mrs. Barbara Lemons.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at south Hardin Funeral Home in Sonora, with burial in the Sonora Cemetery.
